1. What We Collect
- Account info: name, email, Clerk user ID.
- Payment info: processed by Stripe; we store payment status and Stripe session IDs only.
- Course activity: lesson progress, quiz results, final exam completion.
- Optional funnel responses: course goals, experience level, available study time, and a coded reason if you choose to answer the checkout-return survey.
- Device and attribution data: browser information, IP address, advertising click IDs, and first-party cookies used for analytics, security, and conversion measurement.
- Site interaction data: pages visited, clicks, scrolling, navigation patterns, and session-replay and heatmap data used to understand how visitors use the site.
2. How We Use It
- Provide course access after successful payment.
- Sync and restore your course progress across devices.
- Send important product or billing notifications.
- Improve curriculum quality and platform stability.
- Understand optional enrollment goals and where prospective students need clearer information.
- Measure advertising performance and prevent duplicate conversion reporting.
3. How We Share It
We don't sell your data. We share limited data with service providers that help us operate:
- Stripe for secure payments (card data never touches our servers).
- Clerk for authentication and account management.
- Supabase for storing course progress and payment records.
- Google, Meta, and Snapchat for analytics and advertising measurement. Where contact information is used for server-side matching, it is normalized and cryptographically hashed before it is sent.
- Microsoft Clarity for behavior analytics, heatmaps, and session replay.
4. Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with TeachPilates.org and to improve site usability, content, and marketing performance. Clarity uses interaction data, heatmaps, session replay, cookies, and similar technologies to provide these insights. Sensitive form fields are masked, and the authenticated course area is explicitly masked from Clarity recordings.

5. Data Retention & Control
- We retain course progress and payment records while your account is active.
- You can request data deletion or export by emailing support@teachpilates.org.
- Local progress cache (in your browser) can be cleared from your device settings.
- You can block or clear analytics cookies using your browser settings.
6. Security
- Transport encryption (HTTPS) for all traffic.
- Role-restricted access to production data.
- Stripe handles all sensitive payment data; we store only non-sensitive payment metadata.
7. Your Rights
- Access, update, or delete your data by contacting support@teachpilates.org.
- Opt out of non-essential communications at any time.
